About This Station

This website initially went online in September 2007 and was based in the Reunion area of Commerce City. In October 2015 we went 'dark' as we shut the station down to facilitate a move to Brighton, right near downtown. In March 2016 we came back online as BrightonWX.com. The station is powered by an Oregon Scientific WMR 200 weather station. The station comprises an array of sensors including an anemometer, rain gauge, and a thermo-hygro sensor. The data is collected from the sensors every 10 seconds and the website is updated from every 10 seconds to every 10 minutes depending on the data and the page. Oregon Scientific Weather Station

About This Website

This website is owned and maintained by a Brighton resident as a hobby more than anything. The Oregon Scientific weather station console receives data from the various sensors. This console is then connected to a Dell Optiplex computer running Windows 7 Professional. A software program called Weather Display captures all the data and then in turn uploads the information to the web server.
